Who We Are
Bellowood is a small 501c3, MDA registered non-profit animal protection shelter located in Cedar Springs, Michigan. We strive to match up the right dog/puppy with the right family, and to help the new families with a smooth transition. We are always available to help in any way we can, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Feel Free to contact us anytime and someone will get back to you as soon as possible!
We have many dogs available, and all have what it takes to make a great new addition to any family. Please check out our available pets to learn a little about each and every one.
Who knows, your new companion could be right here …thumping his tail waiting for you to find them 🙂
Bellowood resolves to better the lives of at-risk canines brought to our attention. We will do whatever we can, within the confines of the law to bring a dog to our location for inspection, medical treatment (including spay and neutering) and socialization toward the ultimate goal of permanent placement in a loving, responsible home. We will investigate potential homes for safety, stability, compatibility and good pet care history before placing one of these dogs into their new home. We also resolve to work with and teach responsible pet ownership to the youth in our community through classroom visits and hands-on workshops.
In The Community
Need help keeping your pet? Bellowood offers some different services that can help you in difficult situations:
Low income assistance – If you just need a little temporary assistance in keeping your pet, ask us how we might be able to help.
Military got your number? – Your pet has to be left behind with nowhere to go, and you don’t want to lose him. Ask us how we can help you keep up with your loyal friend and take ownership again when you return.
Our foster families generously open their homes and help our deserving pets get acclimated to a life free from abuse and neglect. Contact us to learn more about how you can help in this way.
